Filipino-Style Spaghetti Recipe


  • 1/2 kg ground pork
  • 400 grams spaghetti, cooked
  • 2 tbsp. cooking oil
  • 2 pcs. onion
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 500 grams tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • cheese


  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat . Cook onions and garlic until light brown. Add the ground pork and cook until brown or color changes.
  2. Stir well to dissolve before adding tomato paste and tomato sauce. Saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add sugar, pepper and water. Continue to simmer over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes until sauce has slightly thickened.
  4. Season sauce nicely with salt . Add more sugar if preferred. Pour over cooked spaghetti noodles in a big platter and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  5. Enjoy!
